The R&A today confirmed the championship dates for The Open, the ISPS HANDA Senior Open and the AIG Women’s Open in 2028.

The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush generated more than £280 million in economic benefit for Northern Ireland according to independent research commissioned by The R&A and Tourism Northern Ireland. 

Work will begin next week on a carefully planned programme of enhancements and restoration to the Old Course ahead of The 155th Open in 2027.
