Great Britain and Ireland secured an impressive win at the St Andrews Trophy in Spain, easing to a 16½-8½ triumph over the Continent of Europe

Great Britain and Ireland (GB&I) produced a stirring singles display to win the Vagliano Trophy, defeating the Continent of Europe 12½-11½ to seal a first victory since 2005.

History will be made at The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush after it was revealed by The R&A that 278,000 fans will gather at the iconic Dunluce links from 13-20 July for the largest Championship held outside of St Andrews.
