After travelling across five continents in 2025, the Ladies European Tour (LET) season finale is almost here with this week’s trip to Spain where Lauren Walsh is Ireland’s leading player in the rankings at 10th.
The 27th and final event of the LET season is the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho in the Costa del Sol region. Real Club Guadalhorce Golf in Malaga will play host to the tournament for the second consecutive year from Thursday November 27-30.
The Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho will take place over 72 holes, with no cut, offering a total prize pot of €700,000. This week’s field sees the top-ranked players from the 2025 LET Order of Merit alongside 11 invites including three amateurs.
Three Spanish amateurs will be teeing it up with Paula Martin, Andrea Revuelta and Adriana Garcia competing for the Celia Barquin Award.
The LET Order of Merit will be decided this week with Singapore’s Shannon Tan currently leading England’s Mimi Rhodes, who has already won the 2025 Rookie of the Year title, by 219.26 points.
With 500 points up for grabs for the winner in Spain, it’s all to play for as the duo battle it out on the fairways to be crowned the LET’s number one player.
There are four former winners of the tournament in the field including defending champion Carlota Ciganda, who won the title here in 2024. She is joined by fellow Spaniard Azahara Muñoz (2016, 2017), India’s Aditi Ashok (2023) and Lee-Anne Pace (2013).
Ciganda and Muñoz spearhead the Spanish charge with 15 home players teeing it up in Malaga including the three amateurs.
The top 10 on the LET Order of Merit at the conclusion of the tournament will earn themselves a spot at the Final Stage of LPGA Q-Series.
Walsh is in the ideal position heading into the season finale with one eye on a Final Stage LPGA Q-Series spot. The Carton House golfer will be hoping to display the consistency that has earned her 11 top 10s from 23 events this season.
Anna Foster is next of the Irish in 42 with two top 10s, while Sara Byrne is 67th with one top 10 in 2025.
Meanwhile, there is also the battle on the bubble with the top 70 in the Order of Merit securing full playing rights for the 2026 season.
