Los Angeles Golf Club claimed the 2026 season honours with a commanding 9-2 win over Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club in last night’s final played at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach, Florida.

The comeback victory in the indoor, simulator format event capped a clean sweep for Jupiter following their 6-5 victory on Monday in Match 1, with LAGC getting it done in 10 holes yesterday to take the title.

Not long after they trailed 2-0, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood and Sahith Theegala were standing on the podium wearing championship gear at the SoFi Center, celebrating a team effort that helped propel LAGC to its first TGL title.

So much of the attention was on Woods, who was playing for the first time all season, but was seemingly an indicator if the 16-time Major winner might be fit enough to compete at The Masters in little over a fortnight?

Woods contributed to the team effort including his signature ‘Stinger’ tee shot on the hole with the same name in honour of Woods’ low flighted shot he played in his prime.

“It feels unbelievable. What a team, what a year. ... I think we played our best golf of the year there the last five or six holes and it’s just awesome to finish that way,” said Sahith Theegala on the winning Los Angeles Golf Club team.

On the losing Jupiter Links team, Woods added: “They steamrolled us at the end tonight. It feels good to be back, but I would have liked to be back in better circumstances. That’s the way sports are. You put yourself out there. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and you deal with it.”

Asked about his chances of competing at Augusta (April 9-12) for the first Major of the year, Woods was still unsure.

"It [the body] doesn't recover like it did when it was 24, 25," said Woods who has had multiple surgeries on his back and struggles to walk a full round. "It doesn't mean I'm not trying. I've been trying for a while. I've had a couple bad injuries here over the past years that I've had to fight through and it's taken some time.

“I LOVE THE TOURNAMENT…I’M GOING TO BE THERE EITHER WAY”

"I keep trying. I want to play. I love the tournament. I've loved being there since I was 19 years old. It's meant a lot to me and my family over the years. I'm going to be there either way with The Loop that's going up there, as well as the Champions Dinner."

A decision on whether he actually tees it up at Augusta remains for another day still. "I don't know, we'll see how it goes. I'll be practicing, playing at home this week and keep trying to make progress," added Woods.
